About Restaurationen

Restaurationen is hosted by Lisbeth and Bo Jacobsen. We opened in October 1991 with the simple idea of serving one fix menu, consisting of five courses; three starters, entremets, main course and dessert. The dessert is comprised of a pre dessert followed by three individual desserts.

You always start your evening with three appetizers and slices of unique dried Danish ham.

Should you care for cheese before dessert, you can choose between 25-30 cheeses served from our cheese trolley. The cheeses are served with garnishes, bread and biscuits.

As the first in Denmark we introduced the Danes to the wine-menu. We wanted to give all our guests the possibility of experiencing food and wine melting together and lifting each other.

Especially smaller parties of guests who can´t drink a full bottle with each course.

We stubbornly work at composing our wine menu of the very best wines.

A part from the wine menu, Restaurationen offers an extensive wine list holding more than 1300, showing a broad selection with vintage depths.

After dinner we offer a selection of coffees and the and more than 150 different digestives. Cognac, Armagnac, Grappa, Marc, Liquor etc.

Restaurationen is furnished with mahogany panelling and floor. The room is spacious with tables set well a part. These are set with white damask tablecloths, silver platters, Royal Danish China, silver wear and hand made Holmegaard glasses. The chairs are famed Danish furniture designer Erik Wegners Y-chair.

On the walls contemporary Danish art by, amongst others: Peter Carlsen, Søren Ankarfeldt, Tony Hørning and Bendt Ulrik Sørensen.

At Restaurationen our guests have their tables all night, so there is all the time needed to enjoy food and wine.
