About Restaurationen

Restaurationen have been open October 1991 and from the start we have cooked food with a focus on craftmanship and Danish produce. Our own childhood and 35 years of experience in the business is, combined with a lot of experience, the focal point in our contemporary dansih kitchen.
The dishes on our menu are all matched with a wine that you can drink by the glass. From the very beginning, we have wieved the combination of wine and food as our most noble task.
The menu is "á la carte", but we also combine the dishes into menues, which we serve in 4,5,6,7 and 8 course combinations, all acompanied by wines.
Should our guests care for cheese before dessert, they can choose between 20-25 cheeses served from our cheese trolley, accompanied by garnishes and several kinds of bread.

At Restaurationen we carry an extensive wine list, holding more than 1000 wines, showing a broad selection with vintage depths.

After dinner we offer a selection of coffees and the and more than 100 different digestives. Cognac, Armagnac, Grappa, Marc, Liquor etc.

Restaurationen is furnished with mahogany panelling and floor. The room is spacious with tables set well a part. These are set with white damask tablecloths, silver platters, Royal Danish China, silver wear and hand made Holmegaard glasses. The chairs are famed Danish furniture designer Erik Wegners Y-chair.
On the walls contemporary Danish art by, amongst others: Peter Carlsen, Søren Ankarfeldt, Tony Hørning and Bendt Ulrik Sørensen.

At Restaurationen we strive to keep the atmosphere reaxed and friendly.

To us food and wine are the means t give our guests the best evening possible. Food and wine are not the goals in them selves.
